In this seminar we cover topics relevant to the current Bachelor, Master, and PhD projects in the Multimedia Signal Processing Group.
In particular, we will discuss topics on crowdsourcing and human computation, which are rapidly evolving topics of research in Computer Science. This seminar includes a literature review and laboratory portion. We will survey and discuss the latest literature, covering the following overarching themes:
- Overview on applications of crowdsourcing
- Patterns and systems for crowd programming
- Organizational behavior and economic aspects of crowdsourcing
- Crowdsourcing demographics & labor issues.
The laboratory component will focus on developing concrete crowdsourcing research projects.
